This photograph, taken by Philip Townsend is from his personal archive.
It captures a special moment in time in early 1967 when all of the Beatles and their partners were gathered together to meet the Maharishi for the first time.
These photographs taken by Philip are the only ones in existence that captured this event.
This photograph features Paul McCartney with Jane Asher and Ringo Starr and his Wife Maureen as the central figures with Patti Boyd (then wife of George Harrison) in the background.
Philip Townsend has personally signed the piece which was released in a worldwide run of 2500 artworks.
It is still in its original cellophane and comes with a complete description of the photograph and its historical background along with a signed Certificate Of Authenticity from Studio Limited Editions who produced the series. It is number 59 of the 2500 that were released.
It is mounted on card which is approx 50cm x 40cm.
Philip Townsend was a renowned photographer between the years 1960 and 1969 and worked for many prominent magazines.
Studio Limited Editions and Philip Townsend worked together to produce this unique piece.
Scarce collectors item.
