THE BEATLES Second Album. U.S. Capitol Mono LP T-2080. This record is very special to me since it is my own original copy that I got brand new when it came out, which was when I was a kid and have stored it well all of these years! My father was a record collector and he couldn`t stress enough how important taking utmost care of records was. He taught me well, as for keeping them as clean as possible, always handling by the edges and never touching the grooves. Also, to always return the record to its inner sleeve when playing is done, rather than leaving it on the turntable or out in the open where it can pick up dust. I`m grateful that he was strict about this, especially cause I was just a kid, and it has certainly paid off. I was only 8 years old in 1964 when the first Beatles albums came out and I was a huge fan ever since, and a huge music fan and record collector myself. It`s so wonderful to pull out records I`ve had for decades and knowing they`re in excellent condition with no worries for playing them on my treasured Thorens turntable. Since I`m retired now, things have been getting very tight money-wise for survival, forcing me to sell some of my records including some I`ve had for a long time.
I would honestly say this record album is at the very least in excellent overall condition. The cover has yellowed somewhat due to its age, but has NO bends, rips, tears, or pen marks with names etc. The record is in excellent condition if not excellent+ plus condition since it plays very well with no distortion or damaged highs etc. It plays fairly clean and quiet with very little surface noise between tracks. Sounds great. Recently play tested from beginning to end. No skips! I have carefully washed the record and put it in a MoFi protective sleeve. Covers are placed in clear plastic protectors. If you`re looking for a real nice original pressing one of these in excellent+ playable condition, this is the one you want. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS.
