Description
The Beatles, Sergeant Pepper LP..... this copy has the rare original 'FOURTH PROOF' sleeve, which is the very first printing of the sleeve, with 'Patents pending' text on the back cover & 'Fourth Proof' / 'AR D1321' inverted text on the inside cover top flipback. UK Parlophone Records PMC 7027 MONO, 1967, with disc matrix numbers XEX 637-1N / 638-1N & 'K.T.' tax code stamp on side one label......... includes the original red/white 'wavy' inner bag, which has a few stains & is split along the botton seam otherwise in decent condition (sorry, no 'cutouts' insert with this copy). The FULLY LAMINATED gatefold sleeve has a few creases & some rubbing along the spine edge otherwise in decent condition, with mostly clear spine text, a very clean inside cover, & the back cover with lyrics is also clean......... both labels are very clean .......… side one of the disc is clean & shiny with light marking only, & plays fine ...... side two has a couple of marks that cause background 'ticks' through parts of the final 2 tracks, still very listenable with no skips.…….. overall, a very acceptable & certainly playable original UK copy, with a very presentable example of the rare sleeve.
