The Beatles – Songs, Pictures and Stories Of The Fabulous Beatles Label: Vee Jay Records – VJLPS 1062 Vinyl, LP, Album, Stereo, Los Angeles, Monarch pressing Country: US Released: 1964 VINYL GRADE- VG /G++ COVER- VG- Record has been play tested and side one played a very decent VG, with great fidelity and just a bit of noticeable clicks and ticks buried under the music. A great listen, even with all the scuffs and marks, the music shines through nicely on side one. Side two is more of a G++, with a feelable mark on Baby It's You that provides a repetitive pop up until the guitar break. Please, Please Me and Do You Want To Know A Secret seem to be cut very loud and are a bit sibilant. There's A Place and Twist And Shout both play very well and there are NO SKIPS on the entire album. The cover shows lots of wear, including some splitting, edgewear, some staining and peeling, spine is readable and the cover is still quite sound. Also, a bit of faded writing on front, All in all, it's not a super clean copy, but it is the scarce Monarch pressing, it's playable, still enjoyable and the jacket looks pretty sharp in a thick poly outer sleeve.
