THE BEATLES "THE BEATLES" aka 'THE WHITE ALBUM'
APPLE RECORDS cat# PCS 7067 / 7068 STEREO
NUMBERED, TOP LOADING ORIGINAL WITH A RARE LIMITED EXTRA WIDE SPINE GATEFOLD COVER
**********************************************************
The original UK release from the Beatles.
The band were becoming somewhat estranged around this pertod in 1968. Brian Epstein's death was a shock and left them without a manager.
They were becoming isolated from each other having lost some direction and unity - but they hadn't lost any talent for songwriting or playing, as this fantastic double album clearly revealed!
Some great songs here, more reflective of their individual characters.
Now here's something especially rare and unusual, as a small run of the beautiful and unique covers were printed with EXTRA WIDE SPINES, about twice as thick as normal!
I've seen MANY copies of this highly prized package but had never until now, seen one of these, but after all this time I found two!
Both discs are in respectable playing condition and look great.
The cover has some handling and storage wear, some indentations, but retains it's lovely high gloss,
CONDITION;
The VINYL grades VG++ to EXCELLENT.
Nice shine, occasional wisps from handling.
All Lables are EXCELLENT, no stains, stickers or pen. Clean and bright. All are with the "EMI RECORDS" text on the left sides.
The heavy duty LAMINATED tab 'FLIPBACK' COVER is in EXCELLENT shape.
Unfortunately the custom black inner sleeves, poster and portrait photos are no longer with this copy.
See pictures.
