THE BEATLES: 'THE WHITE ALBUM' – THIS IS AN ORIGINAL 1968 UK **1st ISSUE** MONO 2 VINYL LP SET - PMC 7067/8 – COMPLETE AND NUMBERED JUST **0087988**
Issued in 1968, this is a Genuine opportunity to purchase an **ORIGINAL** UK MONO **1st Issue** of THE BEATLES mammoth WHITE Album, which comes in its original Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse TOP LOADING, NUMBERED Gatefold sleeve, 2 Matt BLACK inner Bags, and FOUR PRINTS – one of each Beatle. The sleeve has the **LOW NUMBER** of just **0087988**.
The Two Vinyl LPs are on the traditional Dark Green APPLE label, with ‘Sold in UK’ label text.
The 2 Vinyl LPs come in their correct and original matt Black Inner Bags, which are in quite poor but serviceable condition,and are housed in the Original TOP OPENING Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse GATEFOLD sleeve which has the low number of **0087988** - this number is printed on the front of the sleeve. Also included in this package are 4 original thick card Colour Prints – one of Each Beatle.
The stamped matrixes in the trail out grooves are as follows: Side 1 XEX 709-1, Side 2: XEX 710-1, Side 3: XEX 711-1, and Side 4: XEX 712-1.
This complete package is graded as follows: All four record labels are graded in Excellent to Mint showing no spindle wear, no writing etc to the labels or major faults to report.
Record 1 (Side 1 and 2) are graded in Good Condition as i do not own a Record Deck to check them – Record 2, (Side 3 and 4) are graded in Good Condition, again as i do not own a Record Deck to check them, there are signs of play and light scratching to the records surfaces,which could affect the play of the records.
The Top Opening and numbered laminated Gatefold sleeve is good plus condition – a strong and firm sleeve, which is showing some age discolouration, which can only be expected, and some markings showing at some stage it may have been lent on to draw lines on a peice of paper or similar, there is a small amount of scuff wear to the farmost bottom right edge of the album front (see picture).
The wording ‘The BEATLES’ and the low number of 0087988 are still readable on the sleeve. All the edges of the sleeve are in respectable shape, with just some outer edge bruising and mild corner bruising. The spine laminate shows some cracking and lifting to the laminate – this is very common with a gatefold sleeves. The inside of the gatefold is in respectable shape showing only minor signs of wear. The photos are in excellent plus condition, except Ringo who has a small fault at the top of the photo, – no tears or handwriting, the black inner bags are original, but are in poor but complete condition (see photos).
