MEGA RARE ORIGINAL UK 1st issue double sided demo with red "A" and Not For Sale text of A Hard Day's Night c/w Things We Said Today (Parlophone R 5160). One of the rarest of the Beatles demos and increasingly hard to find, especially without writing or the push out centre removed.
The record (white 'red A' labels) is in VG /VG+ condition. There are several surface and scuff marks to the playing surfaces, though these do not extend deeper and there are no heavier scratches and these don’t impact the audio. The record plays with great audio, no jumps, clicks or pops and no noticeable crackle. A testament to the quality of the vinyl at the time, with only the feintest of light background noise in the quiet sections.
With clean labels (no pen or other markings), KT tax code on the B side.
The four prong centre is fully intact. Matrix/mother stampers: 7XCE 17714-1N KT 1 JR ('JR' stamper codes were reserved for the earliest demo pressings) & 7XCE 17715-1N KT 2 GG. Housed with original company sleeve.
Overall great playing copy with clean labels.
Condition
Vinyl : visually both sides VG / VG + condition - deep gloss sheen, a few scuffs, surface marks and sleeve removal lines visible.
Audio : great clear dynamic audio, excellent condition with no jumps, skips or obvious deterioration in sound quality
Both labels : EX+ / Near Mint condition, no writing only the slightest ageing, push out centre intact.
Comes with Original Parlophone sleeve which is in excellent condition with no splits,no rips or writing.
