Condition
DISC ONE – Both labels are perfectly clean with no writing, tears, stickers, or other marks. There is no “An EMI Recording” text on these labels, indicating that it is an early first press. The vinyl. However, is at best “good” by Record Collector gradings. There are a lot of marks on both sides, some of which are clearly audible. I have not played the record all the way through so can not guarantee that it won’t stick or jump. It comes in a black inner, which is quite ripped around the centre hole. Matrices XEX709-1 and 710-1 and stampers 5OM and 5XX (couldn't make out letters).
DISC TWO – There are two Disc 2s, and I’ll include them both as neither is particularly good, so I’ll leave it up to you to choose which one to keep.
DISC TWO (1) - Both labels are perfectly clean with no writing, tears, stickers, or other marks. There is no “An EMI Recording” text on these labels, indicating that it is an early first press. Again, unfortunately, the vinyl is in a similar state to Disc 1, and I have not played it all the way through. It is in a white EMI inner, not the original black usually associated with this album. Matrices XEX711-1 and 712-1 and stampers 1GH and 1GL.
DISC TWO (2) – Once again, both labels are perfectly clean with no writing, tears, stickers, or other marks. However, on this disc there is the “An EMI Recording” text on both labels, so the other two were probably the pair, with this one the extra. I have included this disc as the condition is much better, almost VG, with a good few marks, but nothing that should stop it from playing. It is housed in a black inner, which has only a little damage at the centre hole. Matrices XEX711-1 and 712-1 and stampers 2OT and 2AD.
SLEEVE – It’s a pretty wide-spined toploader, numbered 0248332, and has no stereo/mono wording on the rear. It is still a nice bright white in colour, with slight wear along the openings, and unfortunately a one inch tear at the top middle front, as can be seen in the pics.
Unfortunately, there are no “extras” included in this package – no poster, photos, or spacers.
Any other info.
This should be an affordable example of the trickier mono pressing, with the added bonus of a spare disc 2. It’s not perfect, but if you don’t already have one, it would do fine as a filler, until a better one comes along (or you fluke one from somewhere!).
As I have been quite candid and perfectly accurate about its condition, I regret that I will not accept returns on this item. I am sure you will understand.
