This great record plays up to the visual and audio grading and way beyond, with incredible clear MONO sound, that can only be found on these rare 1st pressings.

The White Album is a complex and varied collection of music, and is also a relatively sensitive piece of vinyl, and hard to find in clear audio condition. Worn copies can have a lot of surface sound even on musically complex and busy tracks like ' Helter Skelter .' This pressing has strong undistorted audio, with Super clear sound. There is certainly no dominant  interference, and NO loud pops or clicks or Distortion. It really sounds great and plays with great sound separation and clarity!

Superb sound, every track has been tested and I could find no obvious sound blemishes. Some light occasional static only, and it is light and occasional. Wonderful TOP audio, there is certainly NO distortion, NO sticks or jumps what so ever, and virtual silence between the tracks. I will give a detailed account below.

This vinyl is an absolute gem!  It powers in with 'Back in the USSR', with stunning audio and then moves into an amazing edition of 'Dear Prudence', that plays with virtually no static at all. This is Almost unheard of and I've heard so many mono White albums that start well only to move into a terribly crackly Dear Prudence. 'Glass Onion' sounds amazing, with no pops, clicks or static, and does 'Obla De' which plays with unbelievable vocal clarity, with Paul's voice singing through. 'Honey Pie' plays perfectly, and I dont use that term lightly. There is some light static for the first few bars of 'Bungalow Bill', quickly fading into again perfect audio. The beautiful mournful 'While my Guitar'  plays with perfect vocal and guitar performance, amazing clear sound, every harmony is crystal clear. You can actually hear Ringo's high hat peddle moving, underneath the drum sound. Unbelievable. At the start of 'Happiness' there is a tiny bit of static that quickly fades into perfect clear audio. 

Side one has blown me away, with amazing clear audio, and I am glad to say the quality remains for the whole album. 'Martha my Dear', for some strange reasons nearly always plays with loads of static, but this press plays great, with absolutely minimal surface sound. 'So Tired' and 'Blackbird' sound amazing. The ultra quiet Blackbird does have a little static, but it in no way dominates the music. The audio clarity is just amazing. 'Rocky Racoon' plays superbly, with very light occasional static, and 'Piggies' and 'Do it on the Road' really do play perfectly again. The quite 'I will' has amazing clear sound, with NO noticeable tics or static, as with 'Julia', possibly the quietest track on the record. Very light occasional static, but it is so faint and so in the background it is really hard to notice and certainly takes nothing away from this beautiful poignant song.. 

Side three opens with a great powerhouse version of 'Birthday', with some very light static at the start only. The sound is crystal clear, with a couple of very light static tics only. 'Yer Blues' sounds perfect as does the delicate 'Mother Natures Son', which sound great. Such a hard track to find with great sound, this one plays with amazing clean audio. Some light static only, and very occasional, Paul's vocal echo effect, which is usually so faint its impossible to spot, sounds amazingly hear, with crystal clear audio, as is the audio layering, that is usually totally obscured. A bit of light static at the start of 'Take it Easy', but it really only last for a few bars of music, just incredible, rocking clear sound. 'Helter Skelter' sounds incredible, so clear you can actually hear a secondary drum sound layered underneath the primary track, a sound that is nearly always lost on these vintage vinyls. Also as this track is so loud any delicate arrangements are normally over shadowed.

The quiet 'Long Long' sounds so clear, its just incredible. There is some light occasional surface sound but the music is just so clear, as with the whole record. No pops, clicks and certainly No distortion. In fact I didn't hear a single loud pop on the entire record, apart from a coupe of near inaudible pops at the start of 'Revolution', which plays with near perfect audio, with no static at all! 'Cry Baby' sounds fantastic, and even 'Revolution 9', a track so often plagued with scratches, chips and clicks sounds crystal clear, with just the most minimal background static in places. Rounding off with 'Goodnight', it sounds amazingly clear, with the full vocal orchestration signing through as I have never heard before. AMAZING!

This is an unbelievably great 1st press Mono audio performance, certainly one of the clearest I have ever heard. The music jumps out, with definition and clarity, the vocals come through with tremendous power. Its the same with the bass guitar and drums, whilst the guitar layering comes through crisp and clear. The tonal quality and lack of surface sound makes this a sensational pressing. With the clear and extra loud First cut engineering giving the audio a vibrant sound which cannot be beaten.

A truly amazing all round example of this classic vinyl. This is a great Audio pleasure and I easily give the Audio an EXCELLENT PLUS to NEAR MINT grading.

Staggering first MONO mix, unlike the re-issues which lack the impact. A stunningly rare all round example of this great vinyl.

THE RECORD - Visual Grading 

A superb set of glossy vinyls, and a really thick pressing. Deep clear grooves that can only be found on the original early pressings, this vinyl has been little played. It does have some faint sleeve removal marks, but the are light and have no effect on the sound. There are one or two tiny hairlines, and a few very light scuffs, but they are light and not prominent.

There are a few very faint handling marks, this vinyl has been played carefully and shows no groove wear. Unbelievable to think this vinyl is over 40 years old! A stunning example I would happily grade them at EXCELLENT to EXCELLENT PLUS, and I am sure that many would say NEAR MINT. 

A great all round Complete and Rare example of this BEATLES MASTERPIECE

Super Clear MONO mix, which packs amazing drive and punch.

The Beatles, later known as the White Album, had over a quarter of a million advance orders, and of course went straight to number 1. This was the first double album EVER to get to the top slot where it stayed for 7 weeks in a row. It sold so many, that once again The Beatles also made the singles chart, consequently the ONLY double album to ever enter that chart. By the end of the year, just over a month later, the white album had sold over 4,000,000 copies worldwide, and by the end of 1970 global sales were around 6.5 million. At that time this was the biggest selling double album of all time.

The sleeve design was by Richard Hamilton, who suggested the minimalistic approach and the consecutively numbered sleeves which would give a limited edition feel to it. Richard also came up with the montage idea for the large free poster, which included the lyrics on it's rear. The four free colour prints were taken by John Kelly.

THE COVER – EXCELLENT PLUS

Comes with the original WIDE SPINE TOP Loading NUMBERED Gatefold Sleeve by GARROD & LOFTHOUSE, and undoubtedly the Widest and Squarest I have ever seen.

Super example, a UK ORIGINAL GARROD & LOFTHOUSE gatefold cover. 

A numbered pressing, it is made in the medium thick card and is fully laminated with the title THE BEATLES is embossed under the laminate. Number 0204383  .

This is a lovely example, with the only slight defects are some light laminate creases and a very small amount of laminate loss to the spine. This really is  a stunning cover, with little to fault it, other than some very light handling marks and corner wear. There is a slight anomaly on the front, which I have clearly shown in the images. A makers mark, it looks like a faint hand print on the laminate. It is faint, and I would say it adds to the uniqueness of the stunning rare cover.

The cover has maintained its creamish white sheen, and light wear only.  There is no feathering to the Top openings, which is very rare. A stunning wide spine, which is actually square. I have never seen an actually square spine, they are always slightly 'w' shaped. This one measures at a full 10 mm, the widest normally only reaching 9. Easily grades as EXCELLENT PLUS!

THE LABELS - EXCELLENT PLUS

Famous Apple labels are in GREAT Condition, no marks no discernible  spindle wear. Great all round examples, with some light spindle traces only!

THE INNERS

Large original 1st press Lip Stick PHOTO-MONTAGE and LYRIC SHEET, 57 x 87 cms in EXCELLENT condition. NO tears or splits, just some light wear on the edges and some light discolouration on the lyric side. - No tears, no writing, no pin-holes, no glue or sellotape marks. A superb original example.

Comes with all Four Photos which are in EXCELLENT Condition. All Four Prints, 20 x 29 cms, on the original Thick Card. - No tears, no writing, no pin-holes, no glue or sellotape marks. A couple of light scratches only. A wonderful and rare original set, not replacements. Guaranteed!

Also comes with the ULTRA RARE PHOTO SPACER. In EXCELLENT PLUS condition, very light creasing only.

VINYL SOUND - PLEASE NOTE:

Top quality vinyl with clear sound is rare, and is what I always aim for. Even with the cleanest copies you will find occasional static sound during playback, caused by a build of dust in the grooves. This is clearly different from the distortion, loud pops or clicks that are found on heavily played and worn pieces of vinyl. Any static build up will reduce when played, and I advise a light clean should be given between plays for optimal performance.

MINT: Virtually unplayed. The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover is pristine.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

V.G PLUS: The record will still be nice and shiny, but may have a few light marks, and will play well. Slight wear and tear on the cover.

V.G: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch.Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, etc.
