This is a UK Stereo press of the 'White Album' by The Beatles. This press has the top opening sleeve, dark green Apple labels and ''Sold In the UK' label text, black inner sleeves and the lyric poster. The records have the early 1/2/1/2 matrix and the earliest 1 mother stamps.
The records are in Very Good condition. The vinyl on each side is extremely glossy, these records have only been lightly played, with no whitening of the grooves at all. There are just a couple of very light marks on each side. The dark green Apple labels are completely clean. The green is exceptionally bold, and the white is bright. The black text is sharp and there is only very light spindle wear. On playing there is light noise but the sound is still vibrant and extremely clear. The voices are rich and sharp and the backing is warm and clear.
The records are complete with their original black inner sleeves. They are a worn but are still clean.
The matt double sided poster is in Good condition. The colours are bold and the whites are still bright but some of the edges are split.
The Garrod & Lofthouse top opening laminated sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. The laminate has an amazing high gloss and it is completely clean. The white has only slight discolouration, it is still exceptionally bright and the number and Beatles embossed text are sharp and entirely unworn. There are a couple of edge creases and some corner wear. On opening the inside images and text are superb. The flipbacks are sealed and complete. The edges are incredibly firm and the spine is very solid.
