Description:
Up for your consideration is the next in a series of unique Lps, this one featuring The Beatles with a rare 2nd state butcher cover.
Please ask any questions before bidding. Thanks! 08:06:2025: 3 photos added of top right corner, top spine and bottom spine at request of fellow e-bay member.
A few unique things about this item:
Firstly, this item retains the original shine with some very light marks, grading by sight in normal room light. I took the time to play it and found the 11 tracks to audibly average half way between VG+(excellent) and Near Mint. It played very well overall. You can assign your own grade based on the detailed track-by-track analysis provided below.
Secondly, regarding the cover, I note the following (please see the scanned pics as well):
1) Front: upper left corner with a small triangle blemish. I don't feel anything, so it's possible this could be wiped off, but I'm not about to attempt that and will leave that to the new owner.
2) Front: half way up the outer (open) edge there is a small dime-sized scuff, I hope you can see that from the scanned pic. Slight general/ring wear on the front.
3) Edges: Corners with light/moderate wear and a few creased tips. The top outer corner has a 3/4" seam split. The top spine corner with a 1/2" seam split and about 1/2" of seam wear. Spine: The top spine has 4" of wear which goes down into the letter "B" of "Beatles." You'd think it was a split looking at it from the outside, but, when I look at it from the outer opposite edge, I can't see any light. The bottom spine has about 1" of seam wear which somewhat impedes with the "T2553" print. (07:08:25: -- I've tried to include a picture of the spine to show you these wear spots, it came out a little funky like it was going into hyperspace!) The bottom outer seam with about 1/2" of moderate wear.
4) One can see the telltale sign of Ringo's turtleneck about 1 1/4" off the top right edge of the trunk indicating there is a butcher cover underneath.
5) The trunk doesn't go all the way down to the border - limit of the picture and there is some white space in between the trunk and the limit of the picture (see scan). Another indication of a 2nd state butcher cover.
6) Back: Slight general/ring wear. A small number "6" in the lower right hand corner next to the RIAA symbol indicating this is from Los Angeles.
So this is your chance to own a unique item at a reasonable price. Bid early and often so you don't miss out on this auction! It is further described below, please take the time to read before bidding.
Please e-mail if questions.

I am using the Goldmine scale of G=Good(1), VG = Very Good(2), VG+ = Very Good Plus(excellent)(3), NM = Near Mint(4) when grading the disc(s).
Here is a summary of the record(s):
Artist: The Beatles
Title: "Yesterday" ... and today Record: Black vinyl with the original shine and some very light marks, grading by sight in normal room light. Labels: Black label with colorband, silver print. I can include another generic white sleeve.
Cover: Described in DETAIL above. I'd rate it VG, you can assign your own grade based on my description above
Comments: I found the 11 tracks to audibly average around half way between VG+(excellent) and Near Mint. It did play very well overall. You can assign your own grade based on my detailed comments below. A great addition to your LP collection.
Side 1: -- Comments
Drive my car - Some very, very light surface noise and a few very light pops (3.3) I'm only sleeping - A few very light pops at the beginning, then some very, very light surface noise (3.5) Nowhere man - Some very, very light surface noise (3.8) Dr. Robert - Some very, very light surface noise with a few very light pops (3.5) Yesterday - Some very, very light pops + a few very light pops at the end; some very, very light surface noise (3.3) Act naturally - Some very, very light surface noise (3.6)
Side 2: -- Comments And your bird can sing - A few very light to light pops (3.3) If I needed someone - Some very, very light surface noise (3.8) We can work it out - 5 very light pops (3.3) What goes on? - Some very, very light surface noise (3.6) Day tripper - Some very, very light surface noise (3.6)
Additional criteria I use when audibly grading records for people: NM(4) = absolutely nothing wrong at all (very rarely happens--I've even opened sealed records and they don't play Near Mint)
3.5-3.9 = very, very light surface noise 3.1-3.4 = very light surface noise, very light pops VG+(3) = up to light pops and light surface noise (below this, one's enjoyment is affected, very subjective) VG(2) = up to medium pops and moderate surface noise G(1) = up to heavy pops and heavy surface noise
