This came from a collection that belonged to a Record Company Executive who took care of his records. Most lp's will be First Pressings or even rarer Promotional issues so watch for more items coming soon.

The Labels are in fantastic "Wear Free" condition as you can see by the photo's below. The Cover is in VG+ condition with some light creases, not too bad and still retains excellent form.  The vinyl is in Excellent condition (see chart below) and is a clean sounding record. Very nice!

The first batch of covers have the blood red background and show more of the trees and the man-hole cover at the bottom on the front cover. Her Majesty is not mentioned on the back cover or on the label. The cover and record match this description making this a rare original issue indeed.

The last Beatles album to be recorded (although Let It Be was the last to be released), Abbey Road was a fitting swan song for the group, echoing some of the faux-conceptual forms of Sgt. Pepper, but featuring stronger compositions and more rock-oriented ensemble work. The group was still pushing forward in all facets of its art, whether devising some of the greatest harmonies to be heard on any rock record (especially on "Because"), constructing a medley of songs/vignettes that covered much of side two, adding subtle touches of Moog synthesizer, or crafting furious guitar-heavy rock ("The End," "I Want You (She's So Heavy)," "Come Together"). George Harrison also blossomed into a major songwriter, contributing the buoyant "Here Comes the Sun" and the supremely melodic ballad "Something," the latter of which became the first Harrison-penned Beatles hit. Whether Abbey Road is the Beatles' best work is debatable, but it's certainly the most immaculately produced (with the possible exception of Sgt. Pepper) and most tightly constructed.

My packaging consists of hard cardboard and an lp mailer which I prepare especially for Ebay items. I believe this packaging method to be far superior to the "Record Mailers" on today's market. All items are cleaned on an Audiophile Record Cleaning Machine before shipment and placed behind the cover in a poly- sleeve to prevent splitting of the cover during shipping. • MINT- Absolutely perfect in every way. Perhaps sealed. (I don't use this grade unless the record is sealed).
• (NM or M-) A nearly perfect record. This is my highest grade. This record should look very clean. There may be some light scuffs from the sleeve but no signs of wear and no scratches that can be felt with the fingernail.
• (VG++ or Excellent) Slightly below NM- but above VG+. May have a couple of light scuffs which do not affect play and retain full luster.
• (VG+) Record surface may have some light signs of wear and may have very light scratches or scuffs which do not detract from the listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are o.k.
• (VG) Many of the defects found on a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise may be evident upon playing, especially during the soft passages and during the songs intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove-wear may start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with the fingernail) that will affect the sound.
•  (VG-) Very similar to the above flaws, but more pronounced. This can still be an excellent listen if you can get past the crackle and lot's of times old records look much worse than they play. A VG- record can still play VG or even VG+!
• (Good) This means Good, not Bad. This won't be a copy to last forever but will do until a better one comes along. I usually won't list anything in this grade.
• (Fair) Again, almost bareable but not worth collecting.
• (Poor) Let's just recycle this one. (Trashed) What a shame! How could somebody treat a record like this?
