Description

"Help"

(PMC 1255)

This is a superb 1965 uk first press mono copy,It has a stunning NEAR PERFECT cover and FANTASTIC audio

The matrix numbers and stampers are

Side 1: xex 549-2 (2-PG)

Side 2: xex 550-2 (2-RD)

Cover

The orignal Garrod & lofthouse patents pending front laminated cover is really nice..Near mint condition..SNOW WHITE!! with no tears, stickers or writing and no ring wear..just look at the scans, the laminated front which has the "outlined mono" in the corner is very white with no dirt wear..no laminate damage, the corners are nice and square and there are hardly any creases just a few small edge creases plus if you look close by the side of ringo you can see a couple of small half moon creases (please note that if you tilt the cover at angles above johns head you can see a very faint "10" and under the outlined mono a "xp",these are very hard to see and i believe that someone has used the cover to lean a piece of paper on as they seem to be impression marks). The back like the front is SNOW WHITE!!..this is very unusual because it is not laminated and normally suffers from wear..but not this one,the only thing is a very light brown strip on the top flipback (see scan).Seams and spine are MINT and the text is fully readable

ALTOGETHER A NICE COVER

Original emitex inner

This Grades Excellent

Labels

The black/yellow parlophone labels which have the "gramophone co.." and "sold in uk" text are in Near mint condition, very clean..no spindle wear just a few very very small and feint spindle marks around the hole, side 2 is KT tax stamped

Record

The record is in Excellent to Excellent+ condition, full gloss and shine with no warping and no groove wear just mirror like wax,i grade records under strong light and you can just see some faint hairlines which could have been caused by removing the record from the inner sleeve AS IN NORMAL LIGHT IT LOOKS MINT-!!..no bad fingernail scratches at all.It plays SUPERBLY well and of course does not stick or jump.Side 1 plays near perfect with just a little static between some tracks, side 2 plays slightly worse with little bits of crackle in places..but it still sounds superb and "yesterday" plays really well. Most original records from the sixties had some type of static "built " in them as "part of their nature"but this copy hardly has any

I ALWAYS SAY A CLEAN ON A PROPER CLEANING MACHINE WOULD/COULD HELP THE PROBLEM OF STATIC CRACKLE
