Never seen before, a unique copy of The Beatles Yesterday and Today with the Stereo ST-2553 cover containing a Mono paste over slick without the "NEW IMPROVED FULL DIMENSIONAL STEREO" banner at the center top. Usually, these kinds of errors were being detected very fast by the Production Control Department, sometimes as fast as one day, and were promptly fixed, which means that, most likely, only a fistful of these copies were manufactured. It's surprising that this copy had reached the Sales Department and was handed over to the distributors at all! Possessing such a story, we're sure this copy will find its place in someone's collection. The back cover contains a RIAA 6 factory designator at the bottom right corner, identifying this very early copy as a West Coast, Capitol Records, Los Angeles, Hollywood, pressing plant issue. This copy has the original Capitol Records ST-2553 Stereo catalog number black label with a multicolored spectrum ("Rainbow") band along the label's edge without the "subsidiary" print. Very early US Stereo issue thick glossy vinyl pressing with the stamped matrix numbers in the trail-off vinyl: Side 1 - ST1 - 2553 - B8#2 0 / Side 2 - ST2 - 2553 - B8#2. The album comes with an original Capitol Records gold "CAPITOL'66; SOUNDS GREAT!" inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

COVER: NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) The very clean cover doesn't contain any ring wear, splits, tears, missing pieces or writing, only having some light, barely noticeable, discoloration at the top right corner of the front cover.

VINYL: SIDE 1 - NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) / SIDE 2 - EXCELLENT (EX) The sparkling vinyl barely has any hairlines or scuffs from the inner sleeve.

LABELS: SIDE 1 - EXCELLENT MINUS (EX-) / SIDE 2 - NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) The labels are in great condition with Side 1 having a light silhouette from the previously present sticker.

Realizing how important it is to secure the safety of the item you've paid your money for, I'll put my best effort into packing the records as best as possible, triple boxing them into the specialized professional boxes, with the two outer boxes having a special construction with extended cardboard on the edges to prevent the record covers' corners from getting damaged during the transit, and will also put the vinyl outside of the cover (of course, unless it's a sealed record) to prevent the splitting.
