MUDDY WATERS was a revelation to Europeans, when coming over from the USA in the beginning of the 1960's.
At first he was worried....as audiences were primarily white, and they sat respectfully silent during the songs!
He realised we were not alike American crowds in night clubs who would yell and respond DURING the music, but would wait until the song finished to enthusiastically show approval. Very polite, and not what he was accustomed to!
His blues are truly the most authentic and outstandingly good of all the legends, to my ears.
This was his first long player in America and Europe, and it's compiling the 78s that he issued during the 1950s on Chess Records. Every tune is a classic.
An excellent and significant US blues album.
CONDITION;
The VINYL is in tremendous clean NEAR MINT condition. FULL sheen and playing superbly.
Labels are in Excellent condition, bright and clean.
The custom hard poly protection and the slip cover are EXCELLENT, some light aging.
