Description
Stunning mint copy (possibly never played) of the very first album by The Bevis Frond (Wornozow WOO3, 1987). Oh, man, I can recall the day I first feasted my eyes on the gloriously far-out (laminated!) Cyke Bancroft cover illustration........... and then the vinyl hit deck: supreme psychedelic underground, the best new music I'd heard in absolute years. It blew my freeking mind. So, baby, this is where the Bevis legend begins....
Only the first 500 copies came with laminmated sleeves (apparently there were 2 identical 250 pressings with later ones in matt sleeves. This copy is laminated and has white and purple labels with 'gibberish' messages in the run out grooves (along the outer edge of the white center label):
The message on Side 1 says "The electric denture cream of Dermot Walsh. Lost on Shrove Tuesday aboard the last but one train to San Fernando."
The message on Side two says: "Not to be taken in suppository form without permission of the friends of The Bevis Frond who are named on the label on side A.".
