Description

THE BLACK ON WHITE AFFAIR - BOLD SOUL SISTER, BOLD SOUL BROTHER / A BUNCH OF CHANGES - SAUS004 - 2006 FRANCE.
Sausage Records fourth release, legendary Seattle-based soul funk band The Black On White Affair. Calvin Law (Hammond C3, Vocals) was the dominant personality of the group and leader in most musical aspects. His dynamism and powerful vocal style were perhaps the defining aspect of the B&W sound. As a band leader he had complete control of endings, live mid song transpositions, dynamics, multi-tags, and impromptu segues, all live via hand and arm signals... (http://pnwbands.com/) One of the rarest and wildest of funk 45s, it was first released in 1971 on TOPAZ T1319, here the long sold-out official reissue on Sausage Records.
