This is the 2LP vinyl version of The Book of AM release.

2lps are housed inside a 144-page book reproducing the original engravings by Juan Arkotxa, 64 of which are full color.

Strictly limited edition: This is number 143/500.

This costed around 120 US$ when it came out (if you were lucky enough to score one) and the price ofcourse keeps climbing up. Expect to see it in the Rockadelic's "Cold Sun" price range very soon. I have seen this sold for 300 US$ elsewhere, but my reserve is much much lower, quite reasonable I think. 

The fabulous masterpiece of European and acid folk including for the first time the astonishing Book of Am engravings and the previously unreleased "Part II" disc.

"We are proud to announce the reissue of the legendary The Book Of Am, a unique combination of recordings and artwork which stands up as an enduring testament of the fertile hippie scene which flourished in the Baleric islands during the seventies. Known to record collectors and psych/folk/prog music aficionados alike, this multicultural band formed in the island of Mallorca in the mid-'70s and recorded a beautiful (and outrageously scarce) album which has gained cult status as years passed by. The Book Of Am was originally devised as a beautifully illustrated book focused on various world folklore and traditions, coupled with 4 LPs which would represent a musical. This 4LP set would correspond to the four phases of day (Dawn, Morning, Afternoon, Night). Only the first of these records (Morning) would eventually see the light of day in a tiny private pressing which changes hands nowadays for obscene amounts of money. So now, alongside the reissue of the original Book Of Am album we're very proud to present the first-ever release of the previously unissued Part II of the The Book Of Am, which leader Juan Arkotxa remastered recently from the original master tapes. Both albums are housed inside a 144-page book  reproducing the original engravings by Juan Arkotxa, 64 of which are full color. Never released back in the day due to its high production costs, now, the central part of the The Book Of Am, can finally see the light of day. This item, although not sealed, is in PERFECT/MINT condition (just played once on high end equipment).

I use: Mint (“M”), Excellent (“E”), Very Good (“VG”), Good (“G”), F(“F”) with + or – to state a slightly better or worse condition (Record Collector magazine’s grading system). Please note that I do not list records in “POOR” or “BAD” condition.

Postage for this item is 18.00 US $ for most Europe and 32.00 US $ for the rest of the world (sorry, this is a very heavy item...). Add 4.00 US $ for registered mail and/or another 4.00 US $ for express mail if you want.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM

MINT (M) - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT (E) - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and  packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG) - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G) - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR (F) - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P) - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B) - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
