Description
BYRDS, THE - SOUTH AFRICA TOUR 1968 A small collection of items signed on the Byrds famous but troubled Summer 1968 South Africa tour. Includes three promo cards (each approx. 85 x 160mm.) signed by Roger McGinn, Chris Hillman and Kevin Kelly respectively, together with a pink album page (approx. 125 x 175mm) signed by all three. 4th Byrd at the time, Gram Parsons, walked out of the band in London, just before the band was flying to South Africa. The original vendor remembered ill-feeling between the band and their audience, with McGuinn openly criticised the apartheid regime from the stage.
The cards and the pink paper are both in EXCELLENT condition! The back of the three cards shows the Byrds discography until 1968. Signatures are perfect Nearmint.
Please note: Postage to the US is NOT free, as international flat rate shipping applies (items are shipped from Switzerland) Flatrate for registered air mail shipping w. tracking is $ 20.
