THE CATHEDRAL TRIO 1963 vinyl LP record entitled "THE CATHEDRAL TRIO."

Very rare VINYL RECORD.  This is NOT A COMPACT DISC.  This title is long out of print.

The Cathedral Trio, "The Cathedral Trio" (released independently, CT-1001, 1963). This is the ultra-rare debut album from the group that would soon become the Cathedral Quartet. The album cover and the label on the record simply say "The Cathedral Trio," but the back cover has the words "Introducing The Cathedral Trio" [see photo of back cover above], and consequently some discographies list this album under the title "Introducing the Cathedral Trio." The group originally began as a trio at the Cathedral of Tomorrow in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, pastored by Rev. Rex Humbard, and they were regularly featured on the church's nationally-broadcast television program. The original members of the Cathedral Trio were Danny Koker, Bobby Clark, and Glen Payne--who are the members on this debut album. Within a year, George Younce joined the group, making it a quartet, and for another three and a half decades they were known as the Cathedral Quartet or, simply, The Cathedrals.

This record includes the following 12 songs: "When I Looked Up," "Open Your Heart," "Wings Of A Dove," "Sweet Bye And Bye," "Is Your Name Written There," "Just A Closer Walk With Thee," "It Is No Secret," "Then The Answer Came," "Let God Abide," "Old Fashion Meeting," "Savior Gently Take Me Home," and "Room At The Cross." Vinyl is VG to VG+.  Jacket is VG+ to VG++.
