Description

Absolutely stunning original 1959 first pressing stereo LP of the legendary Felix Slatkin recording of Villa-Lobos' Bachianas Brasileiras nos. 1 & 5, and his arrangement of a Bach Prelude and Fugue, on Capitol medallion logo LP SP-8484, with D1 stamper. The disc plays pretty well flawlessly and sounds absolutely incredible. This is one of the great audiophile recordings of that time and this copy really does it justice. There is one superficial mark on side one but it makes no sound. There is some light scuffing on the trailoff but the grooves are undamaged and it plays, as I said, very nearly flawlessly. I heard one light tick. The cover has a touch of light shelfwear, but is still just beautiful. The front is still highly glossy and unmarred, but there is a touch of edgewear, including a very small seam split at the top (see photo), as well as a sticker stain at the top left. The spine is perfectly intact and there is barely the slightest ringwear. A beautiful original copy that just sounds unbelievable.
