THE CENTURIANS - SURFER PAJAMA PARTY
DEL FI LABEL 1963 ORIGINAL FIRST US MONO PRESSING WITH HARD CARD SINGLE SLEEVE WHICH IS CREDITED TO THE BRUCE JOHNSTON SURFING BAND IN VERY GOOD PLAYING CONDITION.
DFLP 1228
Released in 1963 on the Bob Keene's DEL FI label, I am offering today this original and very hard to find first US MONO pressing of the classic surf album by THE CENTURIANS titled "SURFER PAJAMA PARTY". When this was released back in 63 there was a mix up at the factory and this album was given the exact same catalogue number as Bruce Johnstons surfing band.
The album is packed with great numbers including INTOXICA which was used in John Waters PINK FLAMINGOS and BULLWINKLE which was used in Quentin Tarantino's PULP FICTION along with other such classics as CHURCH KEY .
The album comes complete with hard card single sleeve which is very clean but has tape on the edges. the spine is fully legible and it is free from stickers or unwanted writing etc but has the Bruce Johnston credits on the back not the centurians.
Still a very rare LP and a great album for any surf music collectors.
THE VINYL, The vinyl shows quite a few surface scratches but plays through with great audio
THE SLEEVE, The hard card single sleeve apart from having taped edges is a very presentable example with no stickers or unwanted writing etc.
THE LABELS, Both labels are very clean with no stickers or unwanted writing etc but show a few spindle traces
THE INNER, The original inner is clean
I try to be accurate in my grading as I know what its like to buy miss graded items but won't insult you by writing song lyrics etc. If you feel I have not described this correctly I am happy to refund you providing I receive the item back in the same condition as it leaves me, But I can only refund one lot of postage,
