THE CLASH London Calling 1979 Epic Original US 1st Press E2 36328 Sterling 2LP


This is an original 1979 U.S. first pressing of The Clash’s London Calling. Released at the end of the decade, London Calling expanded punk into something far larger — pulling in reggae, rockabilly, R&B, ska, and straight rock & roll. It remains one of the most important double albums in rock history. From the apocalyptic title track to “Clampdown,” “Spanish Bombs,” “The Guns of Brixton,” and “Train in Vain,” this is the record that pushed The Clash beyond punk into global cultural force territory.


Pressed by Epic in 1979 as a 2LP set (E2 36328), this copy features early first-run lacquers and original packaging.
