THE CLASH London Calling LP from 1979 on the CBS label (CBS CLASH 3)
this is the first U.K. pressing as it comes with two separate inserts (rather than two printed inner sleeves).
records have been cleaned on an Okki Nokki.
Sides One and Two:
there are two short scratches that are confined to the last three tracks on Side One.
there are some low ticks as the needle tracks through these marks, but they are not constant or particularly over-powering.
Side One has some other soft marks but the other three sides are noticeably cleaner - just the odd faint hairline here and there.
there's also some occasional low ticks during sides one and two but again, nothing that is too distracting really.
it's still a decent listen.
Sides Three and Four:
no real problems to report during record two. there's maybe two or three low clicks at most (in total) plus some low surface noise as each side comes to an end.
it's a good listen overall.
i would give the records an overall grade of VERY GOOD.
the sleeve has shelf wear and corner wear plus some faint ring wear on the front.
the back cover has various marks and it's yellowed a bit with age.
there's one small 'notch' missing at the opening. i've tried to show these faults (see pics).
graded as GOOD.
