The Clash : The Clash A5 / B3 Early pressing

This classic album plays to a superb standard with no intrusion.  In essence it plays 'as new' with no ticks, clicks, pops or static and clearly has hardly ever been played.  The visual quality pays testament to that, it is stunning!  The clarity, depth and power of the audio is incredible, a genuine FINAL UPGRADE classic in so many ways.

The cover is also in great condition with just one small scuff on the spine and the inner sleeve has only light creasing.

This is a believe I repress from either late '77 or early '78 with the Nineden / Riva publishing credits on the labels.

Visual description

This vinyl is in beautiful condition and still has an immaculate jet-black glossy sheen with no marks or scratches.  Even when I look under a bright light I cannot see any hairlines, it really is a stunning copy!  The sunburst CBS labels are in superb order with only minimal spindle wear on the S2 label.

Play grading

I have played every track in full (as per usual) and I can confidently say the sonic quality could not be any stronger.  The clarity and the raw power of the audio is sensational and there is no interference, not even a solitary dust tick.  There is perhaps just a touch of inner groove distortion on 'London's Burning' and 'Garageland' the final tracks on each side but this is vinyl and to be expected.  It is so minimal and hardly worth a mention really!  A classic album of course with so many highlights too numerous to mention!  Every track is Mint accept the two mentioned which still deserve to be graded as Mint-

The Cover & Inner Sleeve

The cover is in great condition with minimal shelf wear.  There is just one small scuff near the top of the spine and minimal amount of rubbing near the right corner on the bottom edge.  Aside from that the edges are so clean and the opening edge looks untouched.  The corners are also in great shape with no obvious wear.  The front cover is unmarked apart from a couple of very small faint creases next to the spine and the back cover is stunning.  A superb example overall.

The original paper inner has no side splits or tears and no marking.  The catalogue number is written in one top corner and there is only light creasing.

Postage & Packaging

I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping.  This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage.  The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered.  Any over-payment will always be refunded.

The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD).  An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known.  Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing.  Please wait for the invoice before making payment and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.  Many thanks.

All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection.  They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection.  I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.

The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each.  There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up!  Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
