THE CLASH: The Clash - Self Titled Debut Vinyl LP 1977 CBS (S CBS 82000 on labels / CBS 82000 on spine)
This is an original 1977 UK Pressing with the “copyright control” publishing credits on the sleeve, which were only included on early issues. It also has the CBS sunburst labels with a double pointed arrow under the “STEREO” text. Matrix runout codes suggest it is a relatively rare Aston Clinton pressing. It has been through a record cleaning machine.
Vinyl has superficial scuffs and marks, worse on side 2, however both sides played very well, particularly considering it is coming up for 47 years old. Visually it is probably VG+ on Side 1 and VG Side 2, but listening to it was more like EX, with only an occasional crackle between tracks. Labels are clean. Overall VG grading used to be conservative.
The sleeve is definitely showing its age with some edge and ring wear and a 4.5cm split. There is also some scored out writing on the rear with “July 77” still showing - presumably when it was bought.
Comes with original white polylined inner, which also has writing on it. (A new one will also be supplied).

This record will be cleaned before posting.
It will be sent in a record mailer, with stiffeners, taken out of its cover and all put in a plastic sleeve.
If there is a printed inner, the record will be packed in a new generic white one and the original inner packed alongside the other items in the plastic sleeve.
Your record will be fully tracked and insured.
