After they dropped "London Calling", and they were declared 'the only band that matters', Epic Records finally released The Clash's first album in the US to take advantage of the (well deserved) hype, and I believe this is that 1979 edition, STILL SEALED! This is not the version with the 45rpm single inside, as I have carefully opened just enough plastic to peak inside and I see no 45. This album is SO GOOD, one of the 10, no 5 best punk albums of all time. This US version has 5 songs from the UK version removed ("Deny", "Cheat", "Protex Blue", "48 Hours", and the original recording of "White Riot") and replaced them with 5 different songs: "I Fought The Law", "Clash City Rockers", "Complete Control", "Jail Guitar Doors", "White Man In Hammersmith Palais", and an alternate re-recorded version of "White Riot". So if you own the UK version of this album, you don't own THIS album. The vinyl inside is obviously UNPLAYED, and the cover is still nicely wrapped in the shrink, though there is a fold in the shrink on the back where the album can be touched. Great corners with only very minimal bumping, this is an excellent VINTAGE COPY of The Clash's debut LP. Please, see all photos before bidding!
