Hi, here is 'Scrapbook' a very scarce island release from 1969. Psych progressive original from 1969. Its in a more than acceptable shape. great clean record. has been played.. But not many times. The cover is a bit worn on the outer jacket main, but had to be prone to this only down to the manufacture of the actual original cover & some safe storage over the decades. These textured covers are very hard to keep in a HIGH standard I.E. Excellent or near mint shape cover. So this is acceptable for the design.

There are, this being said, no signs of any ripping or tearing to the cover or damp etc. Inside is a newer look for a record that's as rare & has no ripping or handwritten names, dust, smell of age or dust etc.

The labels are in a critical grade from myself only because of some visable spider lines. These are better than VG++ but I'll endeavour to be fair and exact in my description.  

The actual record plays as excellent at the worst. there are no clicks or loud pops, heavy background noise or warping to the disc. No scratched marks or signs of heavy needle thrashing...Features (amongst others) the desirable track 'The Carpenter'. I have placed the record inside a new white dust inner the older one was a bit tatty. HAS BEEN INSPECTED AND TEST PLAYED AGAIN. Checked UNDER VERY BRIGHT HALOGEN BULB. Under these conditions only will you see any slight hairlines from the dust inner, and the record being taken out or out back into the sleeve. NO SCRATCHED heavy or light surface marks, no dust ingrained or nasty appearance. So difficult to find this gem* most will simply have gone the way of the dinosaur & are to the best part now extinct...These do not simply grow on trees!

A fair starting price for such a rare record. You never see these come up for sale, and the listing here is a fair and honest one, from a fair and honest dealer of vinyl. Record will be packed in a tough custom box DEFENDAPACK mailer as shown in the photos below. The mailer has a locking tab. The record will be placed outside its cover and inside a brand new polythene protector between two card stiffeners and sealed at the top with fragile marked masking tape. Items are labelled "handle with care".

Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condiition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displayes no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable

Good (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has notceably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler

CD's and CASSETTES As a general rule CD's and Cassettes either play perfectly - inwhich case they are in Mint condition - or they don't, in which case their value is minimal. Cassette tape is liable to deteriorate with age, even if it remains unplayed, so care should be taken when buying old tapes. CD's are difficult to grade visually; they can look perfect but actually be faulty, while in other cases they may appear damaged but still play perfectly. Cassette and CD inlays and booklets should be graded in the same way as record covers and sleeves. In general, the plastic containers for cassettes and CDs can easily be replaces if they are broken or scratched, but card covers and digipaks are subject to the same wear as record sleeves
