...okay, take it easy....Please read this before sending me angry emails telling me things I already know and will deal with below.
Yes, we know. THE COMPLETE BUDDY HOLLY is a six, not a seven record set. BUT somebody goofed and put in an extra copy of one of the 6 records. So you get 7. It is packaged the same as the other 6. Each comes in its own record cover with the white inner liner on the records. All are imported from the UK. All look wonderful on inspection. The extra record you get is a second copy of Volume 5: PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE. Both are pictured in the photo booth. BUT the side of the box cover is extensively scratched. This is also plainly visible in the photos. No scratch goes through to the records. (The box set you are bidding on is in the photo booth, we never use stock photos.)
This is THE COMPLETE BUDDY HOLLY (MCA Coral) CDSP 807 COPX 9005. Released 1979. Comes with insert and black and white booklet. British Import. Also included is the extra Lp as mentioned above. Bidding opens at $39.99 It's a hell of a deal, because you get SEVEN imported records for under six bucks each.
This thing is heavy so it's $22 for Canadian postage, $33 for USA postage. (Also a deal; it works out to less than five bucks a record for postage.) Here's how we're shipping it to you: Around the box set itself is some very light gift wrap. The kind that your mom wrapped those crystal candlestick holders in. Then there is a layer of unmarked newsprint...then two pieces of fibreboard (Not cardboard.) are next. Another layer of newsprint is over top of that. Then we taped transparent packing tape on the edges. It's been treated bad enough in its previous life. We want to be nice to it now.
This year marks the 60th anniversary of Holly's tragic death and the 40th of the release of this record set. We found this at an estate sale, and had to make this available to you, despite the damage to the cover box...the records looked that great. Thanks for looking, and enjoy the collection.
