This is one of the first Austrian Beat 45 singles ever made, a record that virtually never shows up nowadays (in any condition). THE COUNTS from Vienna were introduced to the public in late 1964/early 1965 with a set of two strong 45s and a full-length LP. Their claim to fame was a very raw, unpolished Mersey Beat sound, that might have been typical for a 1962/63 outfit in the UK or the USA, but not so in Austria. Up for auction is their second single “Letters to you / Cry, cry, baby” in beautiful and clean VG++ condition. An outstanding document of early Austrian Pop history, very rare and probably never on ebay before! The copy up for sale is in extremely good shape: Only some tiny hairlines detected. Cover has a little storage wear. VG+(+) overall.
