This auction is for an original pressing of a great Crystals Album on Philles Records.  This album features the original thick cover with a gloss coating, and is in very nice condition, with the cover showing only a few flaws, with the vinyl in nice condition with much of it’s original gloss and some surface wear from play.  While not mint, this is a great example of a very rare record that will make a great addition to a collection.

The pictures tell a lot with care given to point out both the key condition aspects of this album, and my examination and condition observations of this record are noted as follows:

• Cover – overall shows very well.  Virtually all the original cover gloss remains.  There is about a ¾ inch cutout notch at the top left (hard to believe this apparently was originally sold at retail on a “discount rack”!!  I note about a half inch seam split on the bottom right, and about 1/8 inch on the top.   Additionally there is about 2 inches of fraying following the split on the bottom right.  The back cover shows about a 2 inch tear at the lower left, but otherwise is nice and clean with a bit of yellowing from the over 50 years of age, but there are not other major flaws such as ink, splits, or anything else I can find.  Overall the front is better than the front.
• Vinyl – this record reflect some play.  I can hear minimal surface noise with a few cracks and pops, but there are no skips.  The gloss on this record is great and is really amazing for a record of this age.  Please refer to the pictures below for a representation of the vinyl and a close-up of the most significant mark in the vinyl.
• Label – Very clean on both sides with only minimal spindle wear.

All in all, this is a very nice example of this historic recording.  While it is clearly not mint, the record has been well cared for and will be carefully shipped in a well protected record shipper shipper.  Shipping is via USPS Media Mail or Priority Mail, at the buyer’s choice (Priority mail is a lot faster and is highly recommended!!).
