Description
THE CULT MANIAX - BLACK HORSE E.P. - 7" RECORD. BANNED BY THE HIGH COURT.
On Next Wave Records (NXT-2 BNK-1)
Side A: Frenzie / The Russians Are Coming.
Side B: Black Horse / Death March.
This is the legendary Black Horse E.P, banned by the Bristol High Court. If you know your Cult Maniax then you will know the history of this record. Featuring lyrics about the Black Horse pub in Great Torrington, the owner of the pub took the band to court over the lyrics to the song. The court ruled all copies to be destroyed or the offending track scratched out. Only 200 copies were pressed and very few remain.
This copy has scratches over the offending track "Black Horse" although this only affects the first part of the song and the rest can be played although there is some surface noise. The other 3 tracks play ok with some surface noise. There are also scratches on the paper label (both sides) - please see photos.
The sleeve is a bit tatty and has a price written in pencil on the front.
An extremely rare and hard to find punk record.
More info about the band and this record can be found on Wikipedia, here's a link to the page:
