Description

  • This is "Japanese Whispers: the Cure singles Nov 82-Nov 83" by THE CURE - the original UK 1st PRESSING vinyl LP issued in 1983.
I bought this LP new 1983.
This 1st Press LP is documented on the DISCOGS website.

The LP is on the Fiction record label, numbered FIXM8, and the matrix numbers in the vinyl runout are:

  • Side 1: FIXM 8 A//1▽420 R 11
  • Side 2: FIXM 8 B//1▽420 R 11 

I use the "Record Collectors Grading System" which can be viewed on the Record Collector website.

I use "+" and "-" to provide a more precise grading, where a record sits between 2 grades.

(I only use MINT for new, unplayed records)

VINYL

Audio Quality

During play test, it played like new with no audio issues,

and is hence rated NM for audio quality.

Visual Appearance

Visually the vinyl looks like new, and hence the vinyl is rated as NM for visual appearance

COVER

The cover is the standard non-laminated cardboard variety.  

It is in excellent shape for its 39-year age. There is just some wear round the edges, and a sticker has been removed top left on the front cover - please see photos.  

The rating for the cover is a EX

The record will be posted in a MusicMAX STRONG LOCKTAB  RECORD MAILER, with stiffeners
