1977 STIFF SEEZ 1 UK
Very Rare copy of the 1st UK Punk Album with Hotrod mis-pressed sleeve and original shrinkwrap and sticker.
As a publicity gimmick Stiff pressed 2000 copies with a photo of Eddie & The Hotrods on the back of the cover. An erratum sticker declares this was a 'mistake' by the Record Company. The album was shrinkwrapped and a large colour sticker added to the front to make the title read 'Damned Damned Damned' and obscuring all the bands faces.
Very few copies exist with the original shrinkwrap and sticker as these had to be ripped off to get at the vinyl.
The sleeve is in near mint condition. The shrinkwrap has been opened down the opening edge of the sleeve and has split along the bottom edge and halfway along the top edge due to the shrinkage process. the sticker is again in near mint condition.
A very rare and collectable piece of Damned/Punk history.
