RECORD DETAILS

VERY RARE ORIGINAL LIMITED UK PRESS 7" VINYL RELEASED ON THE 'PARADIDDLE' RECORD LABEL IN 1984

THE VINYL IS IN NEAR MINT CONDITION WITH A NICE SHINE TO IT.

IT WAS NEVER ISSUED IN A PICTURE SLEEVE AND COMES IN A NEW PLAIN WHITE DIE-CUT PAPER SLEEVE.

RARE MAIL ORDER ONLY SOLO 45 FROM THE LEGENDARY DRUMMER OF THE DAMNED !

This did not come in a sleeve originally, and was available by mail order only ! Two cover versions and a punk oldie. The covers are inspired by old songs (Sandy Nelson's 'Let There Be Drums' and The Surfaris' 'Wipe Out'); while the third is the original 1978 version of the A-Side, featuring all of The Damned and recorded at SGS Studios in London during the Dodgy Demo sessions !
Former Damned bassist Algy Ward, when asked about unreleased Damned material in 2003: "I'm not really sure what has or hasn't been released, I've mentioned 'Arnold Layne', 'Happy Rat', 'Edna's Theme' (which I don't know was ever recorded with lyrics). There's also a studio version of 'Looking For Another (Teenage Dream)', the live version being on 'The Moonlight Tapes', there's 'I Can't Explain', 'The Snake', 'Don't Trouble Trouble Till Trouble Troubles You', 'Let There Be Rats', 'Liar' (the last three from the Dodgy Demo sessions, I think). That's about it."
