THIS COLLECTION CAME FROM A PERSON WHO USED TO WORK IN A MAJOR RADIO STATION FROM THE LATE 1960'S TO THE EARLY 1990'S. THERE ARE UNIQUE TEST PRESSING ACETATE ETC.. OF ROCK / PUNK / SOUL / PROG ETC... SO PLEASE KEEP WATCHING MY AUCTIONS OVER THE NEXT FEW MONTHS FOR THIS ONCE IN A LIFETIME CHANCE TO GET THESE UNIQUE TEST PRESSINGS AND ACETATES.
This is A VERY RARE UK 1977 DAMNED ORIGINAL GIG FREEBIE SINGLE for the single "STRETCHER CASE BABY" from 1977, UNPLAYED ORIGINAL COPY AND A MUST !!!
This single was given free at a DAMNED first anniversary gig, AND HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO GET AN ORIGINAL NEAR MINT COPY !!!
The single has the serated edge and came from an a retired industry / radio person, 100% ORIGINAL 1977 PRESSING !!!
The single came out on STIFF RECORDS, catalogue number DAMNED 1.
The matrices are: DAMNED-1-1 machine stamped and "YOU BETTER HAVE THE ALBUM I SAID YOU BETTER HAVE THE ALBUM" etched on SIDE 1 and DAMNED-2-1 machone stamped and "ONE YEAR OLD" etched on SIDE 2.
The songs are: STRETCHER CASE BABY / SICK OF BEING SICK.
This GIG FREEBIE single comes in the original picture sleeve and the CONDITION OF THE VINYL is EX+++/ MINT- (UNPLAYED !!!), PICTURE SLEEVE is in MINT- / EX++++ condition (THE BEST I HAVE SEEN IN 34 YEARS !!!) This single is probably one of the true land marks of PUNK ROCK !!!
This collection came from a major UK radio person who worked in a major UK radio station from the late 60's to the late 90's all the copies were ORIGINAL FIRST ISSUES or PROMO COPIES !!!
DON'T LET THIS RARE ORIGINAL UK PROMO / GIG FREEBIE ONLY VERSION DAMNED 7" get away as you will NEVER see another one.
