Last Train To Clarksville (Live), Sick Sick Fucknik 7” single

 

Rare Naz Nomad non-record label release.   Number 041 of a limited edition of 400.  The record dates from the mid 1980s.   I cannot date it exactly but have owned it for over 20 years.

 

The live version of the Monkees’ Last Train To Clarksville is a recording from the band’s gig at the Fulham Greyhound, London on 20 May 1983, when they appeared as Naz Nomad and The Nightmares.  The line-up at this time included Dave Vanian, Captain Sensible, Rat Scabies and Roman Jugg.

 

The sleeve of the record is a photocopy with a picture of Dave Vanian reading a Bat Man comic on the front.  The vinyl is in excellent condition.

 

The Damned fansite whiterabbitskgs@tiscali.co.uk which contains gig details dating back to 1976 has the set list for the Greyhound gig as:

The flip side appears to be a sigue sigue sputnik parody.  Exact origin of this recording is unknown.
