Here is a rare album from my collection offered up for auction: The MEGA RARE 1st press Tan label 1967 MONO Lp album "Strange Days" by the Doors, their 2nd album, on Elektra records EKL-4014.The record grades strong VG+,close to EX! Beautiful glossy! THE ALBUM IS IN NEAR MINT CONDITION! Very few very light scuffs, maybe a couple, and do not affect play at all. I bet they can be cleaned out, but I'm not touching it. Plays great from start to finish with very good sound quality! The jacket is good condition, normal wear. No signatures! The jacket has MONO on front and rear in corner.Has a Doors Photo inner sleeve in good condition. ADDITIONAL NOTE: In the dead wax, EKL-4014A & EKL-4014B along with a small (CTH) and a 1 hand etched. Oct 1967.
I am a private collector, and I have no idea on grading, only describing what I can see with my own eyes and this album itself is nearly perfect TO ME. Not a single skip.
This is one of the rarest of The Doors records released, excluding of course promotional copies. This is album is the mono version of this, The Doors second release from October 1967. The gold label shows it to be an original pressing. The number on the spine reads EKS 74014.
