Description

  • The Doors released their third album "Waiting For The Sun" in July 1968 on Elektra Records. It was the band's only No. 1 album and topped the charts for four weeks. It also contains their second No. 1 single "Hello, I Love You."

  • This copy of (EKS-74024) is from the First Pressing of the album 54-years-ago. The original unipack gatefold cover is solid but does have some wear and writing on it but, mostly in deference to its age, I still rate it VG+. Please see the pictures. The original Gold Label discs have some scuffs but Test Played cleanly although there are times that light static is audible to remind you are listening to vinyl and not a CD. It was engineered by Bruce Botnick and this copy was pressed by Monarch Record Mfg. Co. in Los Angeles. The Side One dead wax is etched EKS 74024A-MON Δ12128  EKS-74024-A ⑥ and stamped with the (MR) Monarch logo.

  • This album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve. It will ship securely in the special corrugated Album Mailer seen in the last picture.

  • This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 54 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it may have some minor imperfections.
