Waiting for the sun
Original US MONO issue of this LP released in 1968. Very few (less than 1,000 according to most sources) copies of this were ever pressed, only on the tan/gold Elektra label. According to the legend, they were distributed to the surviving US AM radio stations. None of the copies I have seen, however, present the typical radio stations' stamps or labels. My opinion is that they were pressed for general release, but only in a very limited run. Which is a great pity, as the Mono mix is vastly superior to the stereo one. "Hello I love you", for one, sounds like a bona fide rock song and not like the wimpy pop tune of the stereo version.
