Description
TITLE/ARTIST: Hello and please continue to check out all current and future listings as everything from my personal collection will eventually come up for sale - records from the '50's, '60's, and much, much more - all "oldies" and all in great condition! Here is one of those early, rare and highly collectible LP`s by one of the great '60's groups, The Dovells - which featured the then unknown, Len Barry, as lead singer. It is yet another album in great overall condition - both the vinyl and the jacket. This album - their very 1st - is on the original, Cameo-Parkway Label and is entitled "Bristol Stomp", after their huge hit single of the same title from 1962. The LP includes 12 great songs including the hit title song, plus their follow-up single, "Mope-itty, Mope" - all in MONO and all in outstanding overall shape (see the pictures above for all of the song titles). This package even comes with it's original Cameo-Parkway inner sleeve that advertises other Cameo-Parkway LPs (pictured above). LABEL INFO: This orange and yellow, Cameo-Parkway Label (P 7006) is nearly perfect with no issues at all - I don't even see any spindle lines around the center circle, which indicates to me that it had very little actual play time. VINYL INFO: Likewise, the vinyl is also shiny, clean, and nice with again, nothing in serious need of a mention, although there are a couple light surface/paper lines on either side. They have absolutely no effect in the LP's play. JACKET INFO: Finally, this jacket is also very good, but not quite perfect either. There are light signs of "aging" on the jacket's backside edges and small scuff marks in the four corners. But again, in my opinion none of this is all that serious, especially given the age and value of this piece! INTERESTING FACTS: Yes, this collectible LP is in nice overall shape, so please have at it and continue to check this site for more great conditioned "oldies" from my personal collection. As I have already mentioned, over time I am selling off my entire collection, and there are 100's more to get to yet -- of all genre's, sizes, and varieties. Many of these still to be listed records are rare and hard to find, and most all of them are in near mint shape. So again, please bookmark my site and check it out from time to time. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!! If anyone ever needs more info than what is listed, please email me. I will respond! POSTAGE/HANDLING CHARGES: In the United States, the buyer agrees to pay $5.00 (Media Mail with Delivery Confirmation) for the first LP purchased, and then just $1.00 per LP after that-----so, buy in quantity and save. These are U.S. rates only, and all foreign winners will have to await an email me for their exact costs, although I will send a detailed invoice as soon as the auction is over---but, there too, it is cheaper to send multiple pieces. The charges for overseas are listed in the shipping category below--$23.00 for the 1st LP and then just $4.00 per LP after that. PLEASE NOTE: I take a great deal of pride in packaging all my mailings both safely and securely. However, I cannot be responsible for records that are lost or damaged by either US or overseas Postal Services. But, for additional fees, I will gladly ship the packages Priority Mail and/or add insurance! Please email me with either, or both, requests if this is of interest to you. Also, please continue to check out "rogersrecords" on ebay for future collectible records of all types. There are many more to come! browser does not support JavaScript.
On Feb-16-15 at 10:50:50 PST, seller added the following information:PLEASE READ: I have to confess to a slight mistake in my item description above. There IS a slight "skip" in the record, caused by one of the surface lines/marks I had mentioned. It occurs in the 2nd song on side two ("Ah Choo!") - I had extra time on my hands and just happened to play test this LP today and that's when I noticed it. Otherwise though, it played just fine....sorry!
