THE DOWNLINERS SECT the Sect COLUMBIA LP Mono 1N/1N SX 1658!

Original UK LP laminated front sleeve with back sleeve flip over edges, comes with the original inner sleeve. Released in 1964 on the COLUMBIA Label. Catalogue number: SX 1685.
Matrix Numbers Read:
A-side: XAX 2729-1N
B-side: XAX 2730-1N
Sleeve: GOOD CONDITION
Faults: Sleeve suffers from wear. Written name on front and back in black felt tip pen, portion of sleeve print/laminate missing on front record insert edge, small front tear on record insert edge, record sleeve ring wear with laminate dulling, laminate edge cracks/creases, corner wear, back sleeve is grubby. Good point’s: spine print is mainly intact and there are no seem splits. The original Inner ‘EMITEX’ record company die-cut paper/poly lined inner protective sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition, clean with minor light creasing and some handling wear evident, but no major damage.
Record: FAIR CONDITION (*Plays fine but with Jumps)
Record labels are in VERY GOOD condition, name written on both sides, spindle marks sheen showing on both sides and some spindle edge hole wear evident. Playing surfaces and matrix areas are in GOOD condition (graded by appearance), surface marks/scuffs are evident on both sides, large, medium, small and tiny, and mainly all are smooth and light, but with some more prominent looking then others and some that you can feel slightly. *Record plays mostly fine on both sides, buts does have some jumps on the B-side, however it still emits a very good sound when played, some background surface noise evident but considering the condition I'd say this is relatively minor. One for the Dansette record player perhaps? Downsizing my personal collection: Early original Downliners Sect LP record bought years ago as a filler to play, not in the best of condition but plays far better than it looks with the exception of the jumps on the B-side), vinyl still retains that raw gutsy 1960’s sound and gives a good feel as to The Sect’s sound.
