THE EASY BEATS - FRIDAY ON MY MIND UAL 3588 MONO LP 1966 HARD TO FIND!!!
The Easybeats were an Australian rock and roll band. They formed in Sydney in late 1964 and broke up at the end of 1969. They are regarded as the greatest Australian pop band of the 1960s, and were the first Australian rock and roll act to score an international pop hit with their 1966 single "Friday on My Mind". The Easybeats manager was former Sydney real estate agent, Mike Vaughan.
The band's line-up exemplified the influence of post-war migration on Australian society. All five founding members were from families who had migrated to Australia from Europe: lead singer Stevie Wright and drummer Gordon Henry "Snowy" Fleet were from England; rhythm guitarist George Young was from Scotland; lead guitarist Harry Vanda and bassist Dick Diamonde were from the Netherlands.
VINYL: VG+ - NM: There are a few small marks on vinyl, but it plays beautifully. This is a great sounding record.
COVER: VG+ - NM Slight wear and but looks great given the age. No splits on seams.
This auction includes a CD copy of the record. This copy is made using Audacity on a Linux operating system for added fidelity. Any noticeable pops have been manually silenced on the CD copy, but the recording is otherwise unaltered.
Grading System Used:
SEALED = Never open,assumed mint.
( M ) MINT = VINYL absolutely perfect in every way,never played.
( NM ) NEAR MINT = VINYL nearly perfect,no obvious signs of wear. COVER should have no creases,folds,seam splits,cut-out holes.
( VG+ ) VERY GOOD PLUS = VINYL may have scuff marks and signs of some wear but will still play almost perfectly,with only barely detectable crackles or pops;a slight noise at the begining is allowable. COVER may only have the slightest signs of normal wear.
( VG ) VERY GOOD = VINYL may crackle,pop or make other annoying noises,but only occasionally,and no more loudly than the music. COVER has normal wear such a ring wear and split seams.
( G ) GOOD = VINYL may have continuous crackles,pops,but not so loud as to make the music unenjoyable. COVER has more than normal wear and tear.
( P ) POOR = VINYL is cracked,badly warped,and won't play through without skipping or repeating. COVER barely keeps the lp inside.
