Description

THE EDGAR BROUGHTON BAND WASA WASA ORIGINAL PRESS SHVL 757
Media Condition: Near Mint (NM, M-)  Sleeve Condition: Very Good Plus (VG+)
This is a fabulous condition copy of the album. A very early press, but it is NOT the one with the black "Sold in U.K. subject to resale price conditions, see price lists." It has "The Gramophone Co Ltd...." rim text and is A1/B1 press. There is no EMI logo. Check label photos.
I have carefully play tested it and it was perfect, near mint.
Wasa Wasa is the debut album by the psychedelic rock band Edgar Broughton Band. The album was originally released as "Harvest SHVL 757" in July 1969 and was produced by Peter Jenner. The 2004 CD reissue contained 5 previously unreleased bonus tracks, 4 of them being demos recorded by the band when they were a blues outfit called "The Edgar Broughton Blues Band". These tracks feature guitarist Victor Unitt, who left the band when they started to go into psychedelic rock, stating the members of the band to be "sell-outs". The last bonus track being a jamming session which was recorded on 21 January 1969, which was discovered when remastering the album.

If Only for a Moment is the second L.P. by the Blossom Toes, released in 1969. Line-up features a guest appearance on sitar from US folk musician Shawn Phillips. "Bears the influence of heavy California psychedelia and Captain Beefheart in its intricate, interwoven guitar lines and occasional gruff dissonance, leavened by close harmonies and sparkling guitar interplay".
