UK 1964 HMV CLP 1731 MONO FIRST PRESS GREAT PLAYBACK
Vinyl VG++ (Terrific playback on my Rega-Planar. There is some background on both run-ins (more so on beginning of side one), and some feint b/g between tracks and in quieter moments, but to be honest, as I'm listening to it now (loud), you really don't notice anything when the music's playing. What a fantastic mono recording this is - really loud, clear and defined. Plays back above it's grading I'd say. Graded VG++ because of quite a lot of sleeve removals and other hairlines. You can't feel any of them, and they don't seem to have much of an impact on the playback, but please be aware that it does have these hairlines. Really nice playing copy, and what music - when R&B was R&B! So there you go, an honest assessment of a classic LP.
Sleeve Ex- (Front laminated G&L sleeve in nice condition. A little storage rubbing and laminate creasing, and the front laminate could do with a clean around the edges. All flipbacks good, just some age colouring, and the spine is excellent with all writing clear and legible.
