THE FOLKLORDS “Release the Sunshine” orig folk/psych lp M-

1969/Cdn/Allied 11…… here’s a rare and clean original pressing of this Canadian folk psych lp. The cover is in  clean condition with a bit of light shelf wear/soiling at the top, otherwise very clean with no splits or delete, solid Excellent territory. The vinyl is in strong Excellent condition. The vinyl looks clean with only very few very light inaudible hairlines scuffs/scratches. The vinyl plays clean and the only light noise I heard was between some tracks. This record sounds rich and crisp with excellent fidelity. I’d doubt it was played maybe a couple of times before me and I played it through from start to finish. The deep groove labels are clean and show no spindle marks. This copy would make a great addition to any collection and a keeper copy all the way! And in my humble opinion an excellent lp! Please check my auctions for other rock and psych lp’s. This pretty if somewhat low-key album is a nice piece of folk/sunshine pop with resonant Autoharp and guitar, a kind of reflective male/female vocal mix that recalls the first Jefferson Airplane album, and some diverting psychedelic lyrics. Not knowing the Folklords' Release the Sunshine won't make you a failure in '60s music lore or trivia, even in Canada, whence they hail, but hearing it isn't the worst way to spend 40 (or 80) minutes of your time. "Forty Second River" has a spacy quality that's pretty diverting and "Windows" a stark lyricism that's a bit like the Signe Anderson-era Airplane, before the latter's wattage got boosted. Some of it is a little on the lugubrious side ("Pardon Me Judas"), while other songs seem like potential singles ("Thank You for Your Kindness"). ~ Bruce Eder, All Music Guide

MINT: as stated with no defects

M- OR NEAR MINT: as stated near Mint!, or Mint Minus, same thing, very clean with no defect to sound or visual appearance, one scuff or mark may be permitted but it will be mentioned in the description, a near Mint record looks and plays very clean

EXCELLENT: not much below near Mint, may have a delete hole and/or a minor defect or two not visually detracting from the cover, the vinyl will appear shiny and in clean condition with very minor defects not affecting the sound, still very clean and very collectable!

VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal cover wear and/or delete/splits, still visually appealing, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much

VG+ a little more cover/ring wear and delete, splits etc., the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects, both cover and vinyl no matter the condition, I also play grade the records on high end equipment and will give an honest play grade as well as visual grade, considering the number of records I buy on line my grading is very conservative and fair.

AIR POSTAGE TO USA IS $10 ...OR $8 SURFACE IF THE PACKAGE WEIGHS LESS THAN 500 GRAMS(one regular weight pressing).........USA AIR POSTAGE FROM 500 GRAMS TO 1 KILO IS $15 AND SURFACE MAIL IS $12(usually 1-3 lp’s depending on individual weight), I can also send heavier packages to the USA by expedited surface mail, this option includes a tracking number and free insurance up to $100 for $15 to $20 depending on weight, insurance over $100 is $1.00 for each additional hundred dollars.

INTERNATIONAL AIR POSTAGE(depending on destination) UNDER 500 grams is $17 to $20(one regular weight lp), OVER 500 grams is $30 to $36(usually up to 3 lp’s depending on individual weight), SURFACE MAIL IS AVAILABLE OVERSEAS for  $12(500 grams) $15 (500 - 1000 g),OVERSEAS AIR POSTAGE BETWEEN 1000g AND 2000g (usually between 3 and 6 lp’s depending on individual weight) is $49 to $55.
