Rare one for you Acetate collectors!......A n EMIDISC Acetate ….by THE FORTUNES, and is recorded on one side only. It’s dated 7th June 1968.
Mega rare Acetate by Brumbeat group The Fortunes.
No information on this one on the net so it looks like it was never released.... Label reads “Our Time Is Up” by The Fortunes. 7th June 1968. United Artists.
It’s an excellent pop record with their trademark harmonies. ….so this uber-rare Acetate could be the only one in existance. Record is lightly worn and plays fine.
Originally named The Clifftones, The Fortunes were formed by pop impresario Reg Calvert at his “Pop School” based at Clifton Hall, in Rugby. They began as a vocal/harmony trio with founding members Rod Allen, Glen Dale, and Barry Pritchard. In 1963, they added guitars and were joined by drummer Andy Brown along with keyboard player David Carr. (Some of the group are sadly no longer with us.)

RECORD CONDITION: VG++ plays fine....a little crackle at the start but the music cuts through fine.
