THE FREEBORNE – PEAK IMPRESSIONS. ORIGINAL US MONITOR, 1968. VERY RARE. VG/VG.
This is a great classic of 1960’s psychedelia and a very rare LP. It’s an original copy on the Monitor label MPS[C] 607.
I’ve graded it for the vinyl as a VG. There is no noticeable groove wear, and the music is clear in stereo with no skips or jumps. I’ve played it on a good system and the music stands out clearly over any background crackles.
There are a couple of areas of scratchings which are visually noticeable (highlighted in the photos). There is some crackling on run-in groove, but not loud. There is some slight background crackling over the first 2 songs into the 3rd song, but it’s only really noticeable during the quiet parts, and in-between the tracks. After track 3 onwards and the whole of side 2 there is little crackling apart from the occasional ones, as you’d expect with a record this old.
It is easily a very serviceable copy and sounds great overall. Great music of the era, and much sought after. A very scarce LP.
The sleeve is a VG also. No creases or cut corners. The spine is clean and clear. The top has a small split on the end (see photo). Also, there is a tear in the paper on the back at the top (see photo). There is some wear and slight staining but overall, very nice.
It’s a great record, and I didn’t really want to sell it, but needs must.
I’m sure you’d be very happy with this, as it sounds very nice despite some imperfections.
