Description
Original 1967 gold W7 label stereo pressing of THE GRATEFUL DEAD debut LP on Warner Bros WS 1689.
This copy features the early gold Warner Bros W7 label used prior to the 1970 palm tree era. Deadwax shows early matrix sequence consistent with first run pressings and no RE recut suffixes. Pre-Burbank label rim text confirms late 1960s manufacture.
Released in 1967, this landmark San Francisco psychedelic rock debut includes The Golden Road, Beat It On Down The Line, Good Mornin’ Little School Girl, Cold Rain And Snow, Cream Puff War, Morning Dew, New New Minglewood Blues, and Viola Lee Blues.
An essential West Coast acid rock document and the foundation of the San Francisco Sound movement.
