THE GREATEST SHOW ON : The Going's Easy (Harvest, SHVL 783, 1970, LP)
This is on the original label design with no boxed EMI logos. The sleeve has an October 1970 manufacturing credit, so a nice early copy.
The sleeve has sticker removal damage and the usual amount of edge scuffing, though this seems par for the course for almost all copies of this I've ever seen (which is not that many). The record mostly plays decently enough apart from a skip and distortion in various places that sounds as though it was played with a damaged stylus.
Basically, you will probably enjoy most of it and be irritated (as I was and still am) by the patches of distortion and the skip. I am putting it out at what I think is a fair price for a hard-to-find early Harvest LP in not the best of conditions and I am expecting it to sell pretty much for this. Really do not bid this up expecting an EX-sounding record. It isn't. At £25 I reckon it is a decent enough collection filler.
Read the above, know what to expect, and be happy to at least own a copy at a decent price.
* * * * Records generally have hairline marks from going in and out of sleeves - I do not mention these unless they cause audible noise. All records are play tested unless explicitly stated otherwise. Most of the records I am selling play at "Excellent" or "Very Good" as per Record Collector grading. Any specific defects are otherwise described in the listing. Please look at the photos carefully for condition of sleeves/labels.
All items won, up to a value of £150.00, will be sent as Royal Mail Tracked 24. If items are bid above £150.00 (or multiple items combine to more than £150), they will be sent as Royal Mail Special Delivery, so that parcels are correctly insured against loss or damage in transit.
If you win multiple items, please wait for me to invoice with correct postage. Note that the postage costs stated include packaging costs. Where possible, packaging will be recycled but sturdy/secure.
Combined postage **for UK buyers only** - 6 single LPs cost the same to post as 1 single LP. Note that if you win items in multiple formats (e.g., an LP and a CD) I cannot combine postage (though I can bundle up 7" records with an LP).
**Non-UK bidders** please note I use eBay's Global Shipping Programme, which means every item won has to be packaged and sent separately. Combined postage is not possible.

* * * * All items are from my own collection unless stated. Most has been in storage for over 20 years. Lockdowns made me wonder why I have multiple copies of records that I will never listen to. There are about 8,000 more items to come from my rambling progressive, jazz fusion, folk, blues, 1950s stereo classical and easy listening, psychedelic, reggae, ambient, spoken word, comedy, railway, field recordings, electronic and occasionally just plain 'out there' collection.
